About Alan
Together, Diana and I have a lot of fun doing all the many things we do. But, when she began to photograph the breath-taking images, as displayed on Mystery Sky, it simply blew me away. I always enjoy sharing her newest shots; and I wonder, what can possibly come next! I know her forthcoming book later this year in 2010, will help define her surreal art-photography work.
Diana has such a trusting nature, now and then, she often prompts me to take a few photographs of the ‘unseen’. Most recently, I was able to capture some pretty neat pictures during one of her snowy sessions. So, there you go. If I can do it, so can you!
I feel honored to be offered a space on the ‘Mystery Sky’ website. Diana has encouraged me to share some thoughts about my field of broadcasting.
Broadcasting Thoughts
I feel fortunate to have been in radio and television for fifty years. I can honestly say, I have looked forward to ‘approaching the studios’ every day of my career. Of all the things I’ve done on the air, my favorite is the current fifteen year mission of producing and hosting Big Band Saturday Night (BSSN).
Away from the microphone, I would say, I am the most proud of teaching broadcasting courses at an Oklahoma university and serving as a news director for radio and television stations in the Tulsa area.
A big part of my constant fascination with broadcasting is the ever-changing technology that helps drive it. As in all technology, it is always evolving and exciting, just as this website for Mystery Sky.
Diana, thanks for the opportunity to provide my contribution. Hopefully, I can bring your fans a ‘clearer picture’ of broadcasting.
